The Challenge
With more than 250 professors, 100-degree programs and top international research, the University of Wuppertal is a modern university with a wide range of subjects.
The university has numerous different systems, such as WUSEL, an online portal for faculty and the approximately 23,000 students. However, these tools were not accessible from a single UI nor available on mobile devices.
The aim of the University of Wuppertal was to integrate the various systems and features into a mobile application with the help of professional developers.

Thanks to the successfully completed app project for the University of Hohenheim and our certified experts, the university chose Almato as its development service provider. The University of Wuppertal's native Android and iOS app and the associated middleware were developed to bring together and visualize the numerous connected systems, such as WUSEL, Moodle and Webmail, and tested extensively by our certified team of experts. From grade updates and news to canteen food and contact details: students, professors and visitors can access all important information and tools quickly and easily.
The Success
Improved user experience and optimized process efficiency - the University of Wuppertal's app brings together the various systems and new features in a mobile user interface.
The application provides the basis for further optimizations in the future. The University of Wuppertal is currently planning further personalization of the individual functions, e.g., menu favorites for the canteen function.
